Memebox unboxing and review - Superbox #84 Skinfood

Alright, ready for another Membox review?  I was actually very excited when I saw this box and thought it was a must to buy! I bought the Superbox #84 Skinfood along with the Superbox #82 The Face Shop. The value set made it absolutely irresistible.

For those who are not familiar, Memebox is a Korean based beauty company. It provides 4 to 8 products in their boxes and it can vary from deluxe to full sized items. The boxes are themed so you can pick based on your liking. The Superboxes are all full sized items. This box in particular had 5 full sized items and the sizes were actually decent. The size was actually much bigger than the one from Face Shop. We have a Skin Food in the Bay Area and I tend to buy from them almost every other month, so when I saw the email for this brand I bought it immediately.

First item was a Facial Water Vita-C Cream (75g) $13. A fruity blend facial cream. The info card says its better if it is refrigerated for better moisturizing ad soothing. Its a nice size bottle but got to admit the bottle does not look as nice as many of the products I have gotten from Memebox.

Second item was a Black Sugar Mask Wash Off (100g) $9. I actually pretty happy and surprise to see this. I bought one months before I got this box and have been using it. It the product can serve both as a mask and a scrub. The instructions suggests for leaving it on for about 10-15 minutes, but I tend to lose track of time and leave it on for 30 mins. Once I was it off, my skin feels awesome! Very smooth and radiant. Smells good too!  I think I bought it for more at the store.

Third item was a Egg White Pore Meringue Foam (200ml) $13. It's a nice face wash that penetrates deep into the skin. I have yet to find a face wash that can deep clean my pores, so hope this works.

Fourth item, was a Tomato Whitening Toner (180ml) $17. Its a toner to make the skin brighter, cleaner, suppler. I have used the Cucumber Toner from SkinFood before and really liked it. Their toner doesn't dry out the skin like other toners and the skin feels refreshed afterwards. Plus it would it be great if the product can whiten and brighten my skin.

Last item was a Choco Eyebrow Powder Cake (4g) $5.  Its a simple brow powder compact. Not very useful for me since I was blessed with dark eyebrows, any more color and I would look ridiculous.

I liked this box a lot more than the Face Shop box. The box was a lot bigger, the items were more beauty oriented.  The items added up to be over $50. 4 out of 5 items were useful. The last one wasn't something I needed. Memebox never fails to amuse me. The products in the Superbox doesn't seem to be as much as many of the other Memeboxes I have gotten previously, but I personally really like this brand, so I think it is worth it.

Pony is also coming soon to Memebox. I have watches some of her Youtube videos and I think they are fabulous. Her tutorials are very doable, even for those who are not skilled in make up, ahem...

Memebox Unboxing & Review - Superbox #82 The Face Shop

Hello everybody! It has been awhile since I had written a review, but doesn’t mean I haven’t more subscription boxes lately! LOL! But have to admit that I’ve been good with controlling myself with purchasing more Memeboxes, up until this past week.  I had to give into their temptations!

The last 2 boxes I wasn’t really blown away, so I’ve been slacking.; however, I have been really excited to receive my new boxes: Superbox #84 Skinfood and Superbox #82 The Face Shop.  In addition, I got them within a week of purchasing. The others one I bought a month ago are still in transaction. We have Skinfood and Face Shop available in the Bay Area, so I was confident I would enjoy the box and overall I was correct!

Starting off with the Superbox #84 The Face Shop, it had 6 items.  I was a bit disappointed with the box size. It was the same size as the Mini Boxes that had 4 items.  Luckily, when I picked up the box, it was relatively heavy and packed with products.  

First item was a Calendula Eden Essential Moisture Cream (50 ml) $9.  The cream is made me calendula extracts and hyaluronic acid. I just realized those marigold flowers are called calendula. I thought there were daisies…  The focus of the cream is to prevent moisture loss and to firm up sagging skin. Does anyone else feel like Korean products focus on firming our saggy skin?!  This actually is perfect because I wasn’t very pleased with the Skin Ceramic Donkey Milk & Argan Oil Multi Steam Cream from the Memebox #7 Milk box.  That cream feels a bit oily but doesn’t moisture. Its wintertime, so my skin is suffering. Plus there was this odd herbal scent to it. Hopefully this new one from Face Shop will revamp my skin.

Second item was Me:ex Pastel Cushion Blusher (5g) $7. There were 5 options and I believe I got the Pink Cushion. It has a cute fluffy puff, but it was very difficult to get it back to close. 

Third item was a cute Lovely Me:ex Mini Pet Hand Cream (30 ml) $6. It has a cute animal resting on the top of jar. And it is also a nice size to keep in my purse.  This also has 4 different scents and each scent is a different animal and color.

Next item was a Lovely Me:ex Dessert Lip Balm (6g) $8. $8 for a lip balm seems kind of expensive no? It is suppose to melt onto our chapped lips and creates a moisture barrier.

Fifth item was a Lovely Me:ex You&Eyes 05 Sand Brown (1.6g) $5. A goldish, sandy eye shadow.  I’m not ecstatic about it, but still alright.  The color seems too dramatic for me and I don’t have many occasions for this.

Last item, on the card it says Milk Plus Calming Moisuture Body Lotion (300 ml) $8; however, I got a shower gel. Where’s my lotion Memebox?? I had too many of these body wash so I was hoping for a body lotion. 

Overall, I feel alright about this box. Not as excited as I was hoping, but I will deal. The box added up to be a bit over $40 and they are all full sized items. There are so many awesome products from The Face Shop, but they went for the more travel size items, so I was slightly disappointed, but they still are useful. I purchased this box as a set with the Skin Food, so I was able to save a bit with the shipping. If you are in their VIP program, it probably had additional discounts, plus early access to the boxes. I feel like the Memeboxes are usually better than the Superboxes. The Memeboxes usually have more expensive and bigger products, while the Superboxes are suppose to be packed with full size products it doesn’t live up to its name.

Memebox Global 14 - Unboxing and Review

Hello everybody! It's Monday again! I was nowhere near ready to be back at work.  But got to earn to cover my shopping expenses!

Earlier this week, I took up the courage to flatten all my Memebox boxes and stuffed them in the recycling bin. I was so hard, but it was taking up too much space! For those unfamiliar with the Memebox, Memebox is a Korean beauty subscription box. Typically the boxes are stuffed with 4-8 deluxe to full sized items. If you pick the Superbox, they are all full sized items. The boxes start from $15. When you are lucky, you can use Memepoints to get the boxes for cheaper or even free. Don't pay full price (even though the boxes are extremely cheap)!

The company comes out with new boxes and deals ready weekly, so get your credit cards ready! For those who are VIP status, it's even better deals. You will have to maintain 5 box purchases every 3 months, which isn't too difficult considering they come out with new ones so often. 

Anyhow, onto the unboxing. This time it's the Memebox Global #14. This one totally blew me away. It came in a big box and it was packed! I bought this as a series. Sometimes Memebox offers their Global boxes in series so you can buy 3 or more boxes in 1 order and pay less. You can save on the shipping, which is nice since the change with Memebox's new shipping policy.

The first item in the box are 2 randomly selected body wash with Marilyn Monroe on the bottle. It says it's full size,  but it's more of a travel size. Cute bottle,  but I'll finish off my other ones first. Marilyn Monroe, you are gonna have to wait. Full size = $4

Next was a Sally's box 4set. This has the cutest packaging!  4 sheet mask, can't complain. I was running low on masks, so this is awesome! It says to put it on for 15-20 minutes. I usually nap with it on, so it goes over that time.  Anyone else does same thing? Full size = $14

Third item was a Beauty People Miss 100 Gel Liner. I have mixed feelings about this.  I got a gold eyeliner.  The 3 selections were all pearl colors. I'm not keen on sparkly stuff on my eyes, but worth a try considering Snow White is on it. LOL. Full size = $38

Fourth item was a VOV Goodbye Black Smudge Waterproof Mascara. I was really hoping for black eyeliner which was the second option.  I already got a lot of mascaras from my previous boxes, but no worries I found it a good home already. Full size = $16

Fifth item was a 4 Package Set from Kocostar. Similar to the Sally's set, there are 4 masks.  The difference is, it covers different parts of the body.  It covers the hair, face, fingers, and foot peeling. I just did the foot peeling mask. My feet is a bit pruney right now.  We shall see! Full size = $20

Sixth item was a Mineral Essence In Liquid Foundation from Sua Young. It says its better than bb and cc creams. The color looks a bit light for my skin right now.  I shall wait till winter.  Its a deluxe size product. Full size = $34

Seventh item was a beautiful bottle of Golden Time Vita Capsule Essence from Recipe by Nature.  Based on the card, its "literally packed full of numerous vitamin capsules that will deliver deep nourishment and nutrition to your skin, balancing out the oil/moisture level, brightening darkened skin tones and evening out rough skin textures for a much smoother, silkier complexion.  I'm intrigued,  but I promised myself I would finish my other products first. Should I be shaking it first? Full size = $42

Last item, a;t fox Fantasy Holic Lip & Cheek Designer Pencil.  It's a 2 in 1 pencil for the cheeks and lips.  It already became part of my sisters collection. LOL!  Full size = $7.

Overall, I'm in love with the box.  A few of the items, I can do without, but the masks are awesome. After seeing it,  I don't care whatelse was in the box! The boxes were priced $23 each with shipping, but because I bought the series from 14 - 16, I only had to pay for the shipping once. Plus, I used coupon codes and memepoints to maximize the discount!

August Lootcrate is AMAZING!!!

Hello!!!  I finally received my August Lootcrate and was so excited to open it.  Knowing that there was an exclusive Funko POP! in there made me want to rip up that box.  Oh man!!! I was not disappointed.

First thing I saw and looked at was the Funko POP! figure.  I AM GROOT!!! If anyone watched Guardians of the Galaxy, they would know exactly how I felt.  Groot was one of the characters you can’t help but fall in love with and you get your very own Groot to have.  On top of that, his left hand glows in the dark, just like in the movie when he sends out spores into the air that light up the surroundings.  This is a Lootcrate only exclusive!!!

The second item I pulled out of the box was the ninja turtle sunglasses.  Also out in theaters right now is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  The sunglasses are an awesome piece but were a little small for my big head.

The next item I pulled out was the Sonic the Hedgehog air freshener.  What’s it smell like?  Like a nice tropical breeze scent.  Makes me wonder what the other characters smell like.

Raph!!!  If anyone is a fan of the ninja turtles, they would truly appreciate this piece.  Designed by kidrobot, it’s a great addition to any ninja turtle collection.

This next one I don’t know how I feel about.  These are called shwings.  These are wings that you lace into your shoes.  I don’t think I’m neither cool enough nor young enough to rock these but they do look like a cool idea.

The last part of the box is a hodgepodge of little things: The monthly brochure and pin, a chimichanga magnet, bonus digital loot and my looter ID card. 

All in all, in the three months I have been signed up to Lootcrate, this is my favorite box.  AHHH so much goodness in this box!!!!

Memebox - Special #15 Waterproof Makeup Unboxing and Review

Another Memebox unboxing! It's a Memebox weekend! For those who are unfamiliar with the Memebox, Memebox is a Korean subscription box with a twist. Its not a monthly box and it rolls out with new boxes weekly, so make sure you save up! The boxes also sell out quickly, so you don't have time to think too much. If you like it, buy it. Instragram and Facebook is also a nice resource to look for what's inside the boxes to help your choices.

This Waterproof Makeup box is packed with full sized item, so it's like buying a Superbox for a Memebox Special price. Totally worth it.

First off, we got Mission Impossible Lip Marker from Y.E.T and Curl and Long Lash Mascara from Cheek Room. A nice red lip stain in marker form. They must know I don't know how to draw within the lines. This might help a bit with the marker tip. The Mascara specifically says it's for the short and thin lashes. That's me!

Next, we got a UV Cut Sun Block SPF 50+PA+++ Pink from Enesti. A sunblock that also helps tone out excess sebum and enlarged pores. I noticed more freckles on my nose lately. Got to start trying use more sunblock.

Third item was a Water Glow BB Cream from Rubelli. A BB cream with UV protection  and also anti-wrinkle and brightening. Alright, I'm sold.

Last items are Flash Pop-up Geller from Color Bucket and a Eye Shadow & Blusher 06 Shimmer Peach from Croquis. The Geller is a waterproof, gel-like eyeliner. Out of the 10 colors I got the purple.  I was relieved to see that. With the lime green exterior, I thought I got a green one and didn't know what to do with it. Green is too advanced for me! I tried the eyeshadow yesterday and it was very nice. It glided on smoothly and it was nice shade of pink with a shimmer. I really like it!

As much as I'm not crazy on makeup, I really like this box. I find all the products useful. Got to admit, after using Memebox products, I noticed my skin is softer and smoother. I really do see the improvements!

Memebox - Superbox #36 Pore Care 3 unboxing and review

Hello everybody! Here we are with another Memebox review! I got this about a week ago, so I'm a bit behind. Memebox is a Korean based subscription company that packs their boxes with popular Korean beauty boxes.  There are variety of boxes suitable for everybody ranging for $15 to $40. I love the fact that you can choose your own boxes rather than pay for a monthly subscription. 

Memebox is a true addiction especially when they come out with new enticing boxes on a weekly basis! I've been trying very hard to hold off since I still have a lot of boxes full with products.

The Pore Care #3 box is one of my favorite boxes. Love the packaging. I'm a total sucker for nice packaging. It was funny when I got an email that they sent the wrong information card. Btw, for those who are new, DO NOT LOSE THE INFORMATION CARD! Most of the products are in Korean, so essential to keep it. Since its a Superbox, all the items are full sized item.

Alright, first item is a nice glass bottle of Pore Control Powder Serum from Skin House. Its suppose to immediately tighten and minimize enlarged pores. Got to try some of this! Oddly, my nose is packed with enlarged pores, got to put this part of my regime. 

Next, we got a bottle of Black Out Pore Clean Remover from Secret Key. This seems to work like a nose strip. With a cotton pad soaked with the product,  you lie it over the area you want to clean, wait 10-15, then remove the cotton pad and remove all the impurities with a cotton swab. Interesting, sometimes the strip just doesn't get everything out, maybe this will!

Third was a bottle of Matte Pore Primer from Chamos Acaci. A primer for a nice matte,  smooth finish.  I really liked the effect I has from a previous primer from the Luckybox #5. Not sure if this can top that, but I'll give it a try. I'm not keep on primers because I have dry patches on my face and sometimes primers just enlarges the problems.

Fourth, we got a Deep Pore Foam Cleansing from Tosowoong. A face wash specifically for enlarged pores. Hm.... going to try to persuade Ono to try this. If only I can.

Second to last was a bottle of Pore Zero Blackhead Remover from Aqua Beauty.  This one looks so awesome. It has a silicone brush to help clean the brush. I'm not sure if it would be easy to clean the nose area,  but I am fascinated with the look of it.

Lastly and also my favorite is +36.5 Steam Pore Pack from Lailly.   When I first saw this at Memeshop, I was tempted to try, but I cheaped out. So glad to see it in the box. It suppose to warm up and open the pores then push out all the impurities. Now just missing the cold one to close all the pores!!

The box was $39, but stuffed with $160 of products.  In addition, Memebox always rolls out with promotional codes and Memepoints to make the box even cheaper.  I bought 4 types of boxes in this order. After all the discounts, taxes, and shipping,  each box was under $25.
