Here is our first review and unboxing of our first subscription boxes! I stumbled across this subscription box and it had led me into a whole new addiction. In fact, I got Ono to be addicted too! I received my first Memebox on May 27 and there are many more lined up in the near future along with our other subscriptions.
I ordered their Luckybox #5 on May 08 along with another box. Their shipment date was set for May 16. I received it on May 27. The box came a bit earlier than expected, so that’s a plus. The nice thing about Memebox is that they have different shipment dates, but they only charge you one set rate for each order. For regular shipments it $6.99 and express mail is $25.60. In addition, there are always random Memepoints that can be used as money, which btw enticed me to buy many more additional boxes.
In total, I receive 8 items, 3 full sized items and the rest are deluxe samples. Even though they are samples, they are definitely enough to last for a while. The boxes always come with an information card with details and instructions of the products.
The first item in the box is a mask from the Aqua Dressing, on the right side it says “Symptoms” and then a checkbox next to Dry Skin, Rough Skin, Dead skin cell, and Sensitive Skin. I think they read my mind. The mask cost $3, which is about the same price I pay for the masks at Skin Foods.
Next we have the Miguhara B.P Cream, it’s a deluxe sample and they provided 2 samples of that. On the card it says it can serve both as a BB cream and also a primer. This is great since I’m not great with makeup, so anything to minimize one step is a plus.
Then we have the Dr. G Bio RTx Mentor Cream. It looks like a repair cream, and it says “recommended for damaged skin.” I like the fact that it’s good for sensitive skin. My skin is very sensitive, but I’m always looking for new products to try. Hopefully, it will be good match for my skin.
The fourth item is LJH Tea Tree 90 Essence. Again, it’s catered for sensitive. It’s good for moisturizing and repairing skin. I believe this was part of the spoilers, so I was pretty excited to see it.
Next we got the Tonymoly Delight Tony Tiny #2 Red. It is a relatively small sample, but good enough to try a few time. The color is a bit bright for me, but I have heard many great things about this brand, so I am pretty excited to receive a sample from them. It smells like cherries, which was unexpected.
The Dear by Eprani Bounce Cheese cream was another item part of the spoiler. This was one thing that lured me into purchasing the box. It’s a facial cream with a bouncy texture, I tried a little bit of it and the texture was very stringy, just as advertised. And of course, it did not smell like cheese!
Second to last, we have the Dr. Jart V7 Eye Serum, another full size item. The eye serum is supposed to help with the dark circles and brighten the skins, which I’m very excited to try. Anything to remove these dark circles is a must! The packaging looks like an ointment, which made a bit skeptical, but definitely will still give it a try.
And finally, the last item is a full size O& Soap Berry Bubble Cleanser. The smell of this cleanser is very refreshing. It’s supposed to “remove all residues, dead skin cells, and sebum.”
Overall, I am very happy with my first Memebox. I’ve been reading up on a lot about the different Korean beauty brands, and I am very happy to see many of the brands available in this Luckybox #5. I bought this box for $23.99 (discounts, taxes, shipping not included), but I received over $100 in product. Out of the 8 items, 3 were full sized items, which cost about $60. This is already double the amount I paid for the box. This is an awesome choice for those who want to try new things, but don’t want to pay the full price. I like the smell of all the products; it’s not overbearing and very light. Will I order another box, a definite yes!
