June Glossybox Unboxing & Review

Hello Everybody! My sister just received her June Glossybox, so I am taking the opportunity to write a review on it! It’s another beauty box that cost $21/month. Each box has about 5 luxury Beauty Product and from what I speculate they also provide a gift card. This month’s box is no doubt for 4th of July! Red, white and blue! The box itself looks fantastic; it’s very sturdy and reusable.

There are additional discounts if you purchase more boxes. There is a monthly package ($21/month), a 3-month package ($60), a 6-month package ($115), and a 12 month package ($220). And you can either pay with credit card or PayPal. Shipping starts the third week of every month and there is no additional shipping cost!

Now onto the products! Each box has a card that describes what is in the box and the cost of each product if they were full sized. Like I have mentioned previously, there was also a gift card in the box. It was a mystery gift card from Wonder. Unfortunately the card was only worth $5, if it only it was a bit more since the products on that website are all so expensive!!

The first item in the box is nail polish from StrangeBeautiful. It’s a nice bottle with 2 colors attached, blue and red. It’s a nice size to try out the color and to travel with.

Next is a Texture Dry Finishing Spray from Rusk. It says it would add texture, shape and grip. It says it add shape and texture to the hair without making it stiff or chalky like regular hair spray. That sounds pretty enticing. I have deterred from hair spray for many years due to those reasons.

Then there is a Patagonia Body Butter from Ayres. It’s good for fixing dry patches with all-natural body formula. This again would be great for travelling. Especially when the flight and hotel sucks your skin dry! And the size makes it very easy to travel with.

Second to last there is a bottle of Platinume Gold Imperial Repair Hand Therapy. It promises our hands with hydration, restoration, and softening. The bottle itself looks very luxurious with the gold print.

Lastly, there is a Champagne eye shadow pencil. It claims to not smudge or smear, which is great for people like me because halfway through the night my makeup is either smeared or on my hands from all the eye rubbing.

Overall, it’s a very nice box by adding up the products based on its full size prices, it’s about $92. All 5 products are deluxe samples, so it would be great to try it out a few times before committing. Plus there samples for everything, your hair, body, nails, face, etc. I have to admit, I have been spoiled by Memebox and their full size item and jam-packed box. It was a little disappointing to see more filling then product, but for the cost and the items you receive it’s a great value.

For those interested, please visit the websitehttp://www.glossybox.com/
As for me, I’m sorry Glossybox, but I am going to have to stick to Memebox for now, but I really like the different selections you had for this month’s box!

Loot Crate for June 2014 Review

Hey guys! Ono here.  It’s my turn to share something I’m excited about.  Bon and I did some research on a subscription box that I wanted to get and decided to subscribe to Loot Crate.  Once we found out this month’s theme was Transformers we couldn’t sign up fast enough.  My excitement skyrocketed!!  Loot Crate’s monthly subscriptions are $13.37 a month plus around $6 in shipping and handling.  But if you decide to commit for 3 months or 6 months, you would get a discounted rate of $12.37 a month or $11.67 a month respectively.

Loot Crate had said that this month’s subscription included an exclusive mash up shirt which of course got my blood pumping.  I told myself even if the other stuff was just ok, the shirt itself would be well worth it.  Oh, my anxiety was at its peak.  The moment Bon told me they emailed us a tracking number, I reverted back to a little kid wanting to sit outside on the porch waiting for the mail man to arrive.  About 3 days after the email arrived, my box came to my doorstep.

It’s here!!!

First thing I had to look at was the shirt.  Got to admit, it’s pretty awesome.  It’s a mash up of Transformers and Back to the Future.  It is a red graphic tee with a Delorian Transformer.  Kinda geeky, all awesome!!!  The only problem was that I got a size too big but knowing my laundry habits I’ll end up shrinking it to fit anyways.

The second item I picked up was the Action Vinyl.  It’s a blind box where you have a chance to get one of a dozen different transformers at random.  I crossed my fingers for a decepticon, hoping for, at most, classic Megatron from the cartoons I used to watch when I was a kid.  I ended up with Soundwave which is still legit.  A friend of mine got Megatron so I’m going to see if he’s willing to make a trade.

Next item in the box was the hex bug.  I’m not too familiar with hex bugs but I ended up with the Autobot Drift model.  Maybe I’ll take some time to learn more about them and see about collecting some others.

The next item I pulled out was an MLG wrist sweatband.  MLG, which stands for Major League Gaming, is a new sponsor/partner of Loot Crate.  From what I’ve researched on them, they hold tournaments for professional gamers and is very well known.

The final set of items in the box were a hodgepodge of little things.  My favorite of the bunch was the autobots sticker which I will be placing somewhere loud and proud, either on my laptop or somewhere on my car. The other items were a Loot Crate brochure, the monthly Loot Crate theme pin, a set of MLG team stickers, a one month premium access of Gamebattles, and some warheard candy, which I am enjoying while I type this entry.

Overall, I am very pleased with my first loot crate.  For the price, this box is well worth the investment and can’t wait to receive my next one.  I’m very anxious what the next theme will be because they just announced the next box will have another shirt!  If you’re interested in ordering a box don’t hesitate, order at Lootcrate.com  and don’t miss out on all the awesomeness!

Memebox Unboxing & Review--Superbox # Fermented Cosmetics

Here is another Memebox unboxing! I received this box friday, June 13 and I got to admit I am impressed. Memebox never fails to surprise me. I purchased the Fermented Superbox. Superbox usually consists of 5 or more full sized items and they are all within the same theme. As usual it has the information card.  This time there was no pictures, so I was a little sad.

I realized over the weekend that the memeboxes is a great deal. Regardless of the # of boxes the shipping cost is still $6.99. On the other hand, each items at the Memeshop = additional charge. Plus you get a lot more items for a much lower cost. Who can resist?!

Btw, memebox is doing a lot of deals this week, so don't miss out! I believe if you use my code you get additional discounts, so don't forget to check out this link. Opening a new account with Memebox  will give you 10 memepoints, thats $10 to spend.

On to the unboxing! First, I got Fermenting Bean Sleeping Pack from E Choice.  I tried it one night, it's gel-like texture had  slight cooling effect. It was slightly sticky at first, but didn't affect my sleep. I washed it off and my skin seemed softer.

Next we got a Galactomyces Eye Cream from The Skin House. Its an anti-wrinkle cream. I tried some on my hands, it felt very light and smelled great!  Gonna try it again on my eyes soon.

The 3rd item is a Galactomyces Treatment Toner. It's suppose to moisturize,  brighten, improve texture and clarity.  Its beautiful bottle and its huge! This is going to last awhile. Need to finish the one I have on hand first.

Fourth, we got an Intensive Vital Swan Cream from Swanicoco. I'm always glad to receive cream. Face cream can be expensive, so anytime I receive one, I'm super excited! The jar is pretty big, so it's gonna last me awhile. Its good for deep hydration, nourishment,  and brightening.

Then we got an Organic Seed Hair Essence from Whamisa. The week before I receive the box, Memebox was doing a sale on this brand,  so I speculated this would be in the box.  I was hoping for the shampoo,  but this is just as exciting. Its a leave-in hair essence after shampooing. I'm so tempted to try, but I'm scared I'm going to use it all too quickly!

Lastly,  we got a Fermented Evening Primrose Mask from Sooryehan. This is another sheet mask and this time I got 2. I really like these sheet masks because I can just leave it on my face and go to bed. It says to leave on for 10-15 mins, but I usually just leave these on until my skin absorbs all the essence. Definitely leaves my face super soft.

Overall, I'm very happy to receive the items in the box. The Superbox is slightly more expensive than the regular Memeboxes and Luckybox, but you get 5-7 full size items! The items added up to be over $150 and I only paid about 1/5 the price with all the discounts Memebox provides. Once you sign up Memebox provides you wonderful deals, nobody can resist.  I'm super estactic about the end of this month because I'm going to be receiving many more. Memebox, you are a true addiction. I have to also praise Memebox for their customer service, I had an issue with my account, I was not able to make purchases! I contacted them and within an hour they emailed me back with a resolution.  Absolutely in awe.

If you are interested in the Memebox, go ahead and click my link. Currently, they are doing many discounts and going through my link will provide you additional discount on certain boxes.

We are receiving our first Lootcrate this week! Ono and I are super excited and will do an unboxing review! Don't forget to get your own Lootcrate with our link http://mbsy.co/lootcrate/6453825 and use the code JUNELOOT for $3 off your first purchase.
